First of many
There will be more of these, but only in a group photo. This is the only one I'm posting individually as I did this first.

WIP
One of my characters from last year's NaNoWriMo. It wasn't originally going to be - but it turned out that way. Wheeee! Have been concentrating hard on my anatomy and I'm sure it's improving. I really hope so lol.
I changed her face so many times, and the staff thing too. I really want to get this done because I'm liking where it's heading, though I'm worried that I'll mess it up at the end.
I think I'm going to change it loads more too, because of her pose, but whatever. If I finish it, you'll see, but I do really want to finish it.
Exams are big boom boom.

They must have missed the memo.
(I poorly blurred out my name and school from the certificate with the blemish tool. Opening photoshop takes too much effort.)
Also, my Up painting video may arrive in summer time. The footage I have so far I've sped up and edited, now I just need to finish the rest of the painting.

Natural Project - Finished
So that school nature project is finally done. Here are the results and my final piece.
This is my final piece, with progress of the sides that I did with masking tape and black acrylic paint. I used water paint for the dragonflies/koi because it was softer.

I know this is a really bad photo, but here is my work for it all, I think. I don't know if there is any missing. I know some of the stuff is kinda crappy but they're mainly fillers.

That's all. My chosen artist influence was Acrylicana (Mary Winkler)

Update
I know I haven't posted in a while, but I want to finish some things before I post anything big. However in 'life' news I am going to the Doctor Who Convention this month! I AM SO EXCITED AHHHH (internal screaming) I am going to be dressing up too! I will make sure to take pictures and also vlog~
Speaking of vlogs, I do vlog about my travels usually, as I enjoy both. My youtube channel is 'anyeinspace' so if you want you can check them out.
There is also a small chance I may be going to Italy later on this year for a school trip to the Bay of Naples (which I would of course vlog), where I'll get the chance to go see Mt Vesuvius and visit Pompeii. I really hope I can go! Cost is always a big annoying butt, so I don't know, there's so much I want to do this year and it's always the money that is in the way.
I really enjoy travelling and I'm hoping to go down to London in June to see Damien Molony in 'Travelling Light', but I don't know if I'll have enough money unless I get a job which I can't seem to find in this small town I live in.
SOMEONE HIRE ME ALREADY. I'M NICE, I SWEAR.

Project Update - Short Post
I outlined the first canvas and part of the second. I forgot my thinner pen, so I only did the thick lines which also tend to bleed, which is why it may be kinda messy. Half-term now, so I'll have to wait a week to continue with this which I really want to do right now, but until then I would like to continue with my Up painting.

Also just saw the new sneakers she has on offer for Valentines, will consider getting them if I make it to the bank in time.

Project Previews + More Progress
Here is a longish post (only long because of the large pictures) on a couple of projects I am working on at the moment. I have some ideas already for some news ones that I will initiate myself, not just school projects.
First 'nature' themed school project final piece. We had to choose an artist link/inspiration so I chose Acrylicana, an artist who does absolutely beautiful work. I was going to do a more, I don't know, toned down(?) piece with not as many colours and not as busy. Something more realistic. But I thought that was boring and decided to go for something more fun instead, not just to look at, but to do as I've really enjoyed working on it so far.
Here is the pencil line art for it, I've begun to outline it in black at school which I will take a photo of when it's done, though so far I have kinda failed the bottom bit since it bled a little and was a bit of a mess. This will all help me learn though and I'm okay with making mistakes as long as I don't make them again! Now I know what works with what and I have a better feel of different media on different materials.
The second project is an art journal that my friend Jean pulled me into. She was starting an art journal and wanted someone to do it with her, so I joined her, so far I am up to week 2 out of 52. It's an all year course type thing and is just something to do for fun. I think it will be nice to have the final product anyway, I love looking back at my old artwork, I think it helps to record progress and shows what you were like back then.
Here is the cover;
The first page (daydreams) and the second page (an intro);

Mainly based on; this as it was one of her pieces that consisted mainly of plants (for the top half) and I also used the patterns from her other works.
Here is the cover;
Didn't want too much on it. The inside border (not the stitch one) I took from the credits of 'Pikapew Poop Chu' which I thought was cute.
I am the person on the left in the right picture.
And since we're here I may as well show you the small progress I have made with the Up painting. Still need to fix that pink patch, but I worked a little on the background and on redrawing Russell which I got so frustrated with as it took me a few times to get it right and all the erasing has made the canvas loose and I don't know how to tighten it without breaking it.
Russell still looks kinda weird in this photo, but hopefully he'll turn out okay.
That's all.
Bye :)

New Blog - Up Painting
Hello!
I must admit, I do like the 'clean' feel that Blogger has, I have just moved from Wordpress because I feel that Blogger is more like a community rather than an individual site. I have kept my other 3 wordpress blogs on private, just for the memories and who knows if I'll return to them later?
I have not had much time to settle into my new blog and change the appearance to suit me more, but I'm working on it :D
I will probably actually post some art later, though this blog could possibly have a few posts of what's going on with my life. Currently I am in high school and around the exam period. In the past month I have had several exams and I have another one on Monday, though it is only a mock. I believe that April is my only exam-free month, though I don't know if there are any exams that month because mock exams aren't on the official exam list.
Either way, I hope I will have enough time to doodle and I want to get back to doing digital art, I've been doing a lot of traditional lately for school. May even start digital painting, I've started acrylic painting very recently too and I'm having a lot of fun with it!
In fact I'll just post a picture I put on my Twitter (which if you want to check out is; anyeinspace)
So yes, I hope you recognise him! Carl Fredrickson from one of my all time favourite films, Up :D Russell will be next to him soon and I realise some bits are a bit too pink - but I'll fix it later! Also, I am very limited with acrylic colours since I'm using my sister's leftover paints and I'll have to get some more soon, I started this last weekend which is sadly why there hasn't been any more progress. Need to get some more brushes too. I'm hoping it will turn out well so I can put it on my wall.
