Here is a longish post (only long because of the large pictures) on a couple of projects I am working on at the moment. I have some ideas already for some news ones that I will initiate myself, not just school projects.
First 'nature' themed school project final piece. We had to choose an artist link/inspiration so I chose Acrylicana, an artist who does absolutely beautiful work. I was going to do a more, I don't know, toned down(?) piece with not as many colours and not as busy. Something more realistic. But I thought that was boring and decided to go for something more fun instead, not just to look at, but to do as I've really enjoyed working on it so far.
Here is the pencil line art for it, I've begun to outline it in black at school which I will take a photo of when it's done, though so far I have kinda failed the bottom bit since it bled a little and was a bit of a mess. This will all help me learn though and I'm okay with making mistakes as long as I don't make them again! Now I know what works with what and I have a better feel of different media on different materials.

| Mainly based on; this as it was one of her pieces that consisted mainly of plants (for the top half) and I also used the patterns from her other works. |
The second project is an art journal that my friend Jean pulled me into. She was starting an art journal and wanted someone to do it with her, so I joined her, so far I am up to week 2 out of 52. It's an all year course type thing and is just something to do for fun. I think it will be nice to have the final product anyway, I love looking back at my old artwork, I think it helps to record progress and shows what you were like back then.
Here is the cover;

| Didn't want too much on it. The inside border (not the stitch one) I took from the credits of 'Pikapew Poop Chu' which I thought was cute. |
The first page (daydreams) and the second page (an intro);

And since we're here I may as well show you the small progress I have made with the Up painting. Still need to fix that pink patch, but I worked a little on the background and on redrawing Russell which I got so frustrated with as it took me a few times to get it right and all the erasing has made the canvas loose and I don't know how to tighten it without breaking it.
Russell still looks kinda weird in this photo, but hopefully he'll turn out okay.
That's all.
Bye :)
